Sheffield Forgemasters to recruit 21 apprentices

Casting and forging company Sheffield Forgemasters has announced it is to recruit 21 apprentices for 2025 to further build its future workforce.

The recruitment is the first of two tranches for 2025.

The company, members of the Next Gen Makers Engineering Apprenticeships: Best Practice community, says that more places are due to be announced as they continue to build a new 13,000 tonne Forging Line and 30,000 m2 machining facility from a £900m investment it recently received.

Emily Wynne, people development advisor – Early Careers at Sheffield Forgemasters, said: “We are hoping to encourage candidates who have an eagerness to learn and build a career to apply for the roles, which will provide skills for life and excellent professional development.”

  • Health & Safety Technician 
  • NDT Technician (x4) 
  • Patternmaker (x2) 
  • Production Operative 
  • Quality Engineer 
  • Burner 
  • Forge Heat Treatment Operative 
  • Machnists – Machine Shop (x5) 
  • Machnists – Work Rolls (x3)
