Belcan join Next Gen Makers community

Belcan have become to the latest engineering firm to join the Next Gen Makers community.

Founded in 1958, Belcan is a global supplier of design, software, manufacturing, supply chain, information technology and digital engineering solutions to the aerospace, defence, space, government services, automotive and industrial markets. 

The company employs in excess of 335,000 people worldwide and engineers better outcomes for customers – from jet engines, airframe, and avionics to heavy vehicles, automobiles and cybersecurity.

As part of the Next Gen Makers community movement, Belcan will join around 80 other engineering and manufacturing firms across the UK within the Engineering Apprenticeships: Best Practice Programme.

Their membership recognises that as a company they are committed to investing in the ongoing training and development of the next generation of engineers, benchmarking and ensuring their Apprenticeship Scheme is best in class and working towards being recognised as an exemplar employer for engineering apprenticeships with the Engineering Apprenticeships: Employer Accreditation.

As a member of the movement, Belcan will also benefit from being involved in the Engineering Apprenticeships: Excellent Employers school careers platform, which inspires the next generation of engineers by shining a light on the UK’s best employers across 8 regions in the UK.
