ASG Group announces new cohort of manufacturing Apprenticeships

Manchester-based manufacturer ASG Group has announced it has taken on a new cohort of manufacturing apprenticeships in partnership with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Ansty Park.

ASG Group supply detailed parts and tooling to OEMs globally and their associated supply chains.This years intake of apprenticeships will see ASG Group providing opportunities for young people looking to pursue a career in engineering and manufacturing. By partnering with the MTC, ASG Group is able to offer its apprentices access to state-of-the-art facilities and training from experienced industry professionals.

Commenting on the new apprenticeships, ASG Group Managing Director, Simon Weston, said: “We’re thrilled to be taking on this latest cohort of manufacturing apprenticeships. Investing in young people and developing the next generation of engineers is a key part of our business strategy. By partnering with the AMTC, we’re able to provide our apprentices with the very best training and development opportunities, which will help them to thrive in their careers and contribute to the future success of our business.”

With the sector facing a shortage of skilled workers, investing in apprenticeships is crucial to ensuring a sustainable future for manufacturing in the UK. By taking on these apprenticeships, ASG Group is doing its part to address the skills gap and secure its future workforce, with over 150 CNC machine tools, coupled with the latest technologies and cutting techniques; these are skilled roles requiring committed applicants and dedicated mentors on site.
