Next Gen Makers has announced the return of its’ annual national Engineering Skills Conference, to be held on 30th October 2024 in Coventry.
The national event returns for a second year, following a hugely successful Conference in 2024, with 2025’s iteration expanding the agenda, capacity and duration.
The half day 2025 Engineering Skills Conference will be held at MTC Training, Ansty Park, Coventry between 9:30am and 2:30pm.
This will see early careers insight and best practice sharing as well as networking for around 200 delegates.
In October 2024, over 120 delegates attended the first national iteration of the Next Gen Makers Engineering Skills Conference, and the positive feedback from delegates inspired Next Gen Makers to further scale the model and open it up to a wider audience.
This year’s event remains free to attend, and in addition to facilitating networking between those with apprenticeship and early careers responsibilities in UK engineering & manufacturing, will feature a range of keynote speakers and panel discussions including:
- Changing perceptions & attracting talent
- Employer branding for the next generation
- An AI Approach to Skills Based Talent Management
- Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion to solve skills challenges
- Apprentice Panel Discussion – How to create a great Apprentice Experience
- Celebrating Achievements for Businesses and Apprentices
- The Changing Landscape of Technical Education
- Navigating Apprenticeship Assessment Reform
Delegates from across the country will be able to take advantage of what will be an insightful, inspiring half day of best practice sharing, insight and networking, followed by an optional tour of the MTC.
Next Gen Makers Managing Director Adam Tipper comments: “After last year’s successful Conference, we can’t wait for this years’ iteration. With an expanded agenda and capacity, it promises to be a really valuable day of learning and networking for attendees.”
