How did you first get into Engineering?

This apprenticeship is my first role in the engineering industry, but I’ve been interested in engineering since I was young. My Apprenticeship is delivered by In-Comm Training, from their Academy in Aldridge near Walsall.

Whilst being employed by Eriks and learning a lot within the workplace, I also continue to learn as part of my Apprenticeship in In comms Technical Training Academy.

What do you like most about your current role?

My role is an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer at Eriks, a multi-product specialist offering a wide range of engineering components and technical services to all areas of industry. Things I like most about my role include the variety, the problem solving and also the future potential that I now have in my career.

Would you recommend a Career in Engineering to other young peop le and why?

Yes, if you are prepared to work hard the industry has lots of opportunities to offer, and it gives you the potential to have an interesting and fulfilling career.
